Corporate Social Responsibility
CSR in Valentia is about giving back to our local communities. It serves as a reminder to us all how privileged we are and grounds us to our core value ‘Always do Right’.
We recognise that not all individuals have equal access to opportunities or a supportive network in their lives. As a result, we have established various initiatives and collaborate with multiple charities to extend a helping hand to those in need.
CSR has the following objectives:
Make a difference and add real value to those that we help.
Enhance our employee engagement by allowing employees to give back to charities they are connected with, or are passionate about.
Our focus is to help those in need in the sectors of Education and Poverty.
Enable our employees to feel proud of the contribution they have made and feel good they were part of a team that made a difference.
Examples of initiatives we completed last year include:
Collaborated with the St. Vincent De Paul organisation in Dublin to facilitate the provision of Christmas gifts for disadvantaged families.
Devoted time to volunteer at Tiglin – No Bucks Café in Dublin – by serving food and arranging clothing for homeless individuals.
Facilitated a Sock Donation campaign in London to benefit the homeless population.
Coordinated a shoebox appeal initiative in Edinburgh to offer gifts to homeless individuals.
Volunteered with www.missingmaps.org, a global organisation dedicated to creating maps of remote areas in various countries to aid medical organisations.
